The International Criminal Court (International Criminal Court) has issued an arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin (Vladimir Putin) with the title of ‘war criminal’. The case will be held in The Hague, Netherlands. Putin is accused of illegally deporting children during the war in Ukraine. However, Moscow is reluctant to attach any importance to this arrest warrant.
It should be noted that the court has also issued a warrant against Maria Lvova-Belova, the Commissioner of Children’s Rights of the President of Russia, on the same charge. Karim Khan, the public prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, said, ‘Putin cannot go out of the country because of this arrest warrant. Wherever Putin goes in the 123 countries of the world, he will be arrested.
The Kremlin claims, ‘Russia is not a member of the International Criminal Court like the United States or China. As a result, it is very difficult to execute the issued warrant. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, “Russia does not fall under the jurisdiction of this court.” So we are not bothered about what this court said.”
Naturally, Ukraine is happy with this order in the court. The army officer of that country said in a tweet, ‘This is just the beginning.’ However, Russia’s aggression against Ukraine shows no signs of stopping. However, the pressure that is going to increase on Putin in the coming days is somewhat clear from the order of the International Criminal Court.
