Sindh province of Pakistan has the largest population of Hindus. 70 percent Hindus live in Mirpurkhas and bordering Umarkot, Sanghar areas. If Hanuman is ridiculed in such a place, it naturally amounts to an attack on minorities. After Aslam Baloch’s post spread on social media, panchayat leader Ramesh Kumar approached the police station fearing communal unrest. A case has been registered under Section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code. If found guilty in this case, Aslam can be jailed for 10 years.
