Two movies released this Friday (May 26) — ‘Maa’ and ‘Adeem’. The two films were released in 3 theaters each in a total of 6 theaters. After about a month, the audience will see the new Bengali film in the cinema hall.
‘Maa’ released in Star Cineplex (Mirpur) and Blockbuster Cinemas (Yamuna Future Park). And ‘Adim’ will be seen at Star Cineplex (Basundhara), Blockbuster Cinemas (Yamuna Future Park) and Cinescope (Narayanganj).
Nandit dramatist Aranya Anwar’s first movie ‘Maa’. Parimani played the lead role. Aranya Anwar visited the 76th Cannes festival with ‘Maa’. The film premiered in the ‘marche du film’ (commercial section) there. The story of the film ‘Ma’ is during the liberation war. The emotional story of a helpless mother of a seven-month-old baby who is declared dead. Parimani played the role of mother in it. Also there are Azad Abul Kalam, Farzana Pictures, Saju Khadem, Rebena Karim Jui, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, Shahadat Hossain and others. The film is produced under the banner of Arany Pulak (AP).
‘Adeem’ is also director Yuvraj Shamim’s first film. ‘Adim’ won the ‘Special Jury Award’ and ‘Netpack Award’ at the 44th Moscow International Film Festival. After that, the film won many more festivals. ‘Adim’ is made in a slum in Tongi. The story also revolves around that slum. Badsha, Dulal, Sohagi, Sadek and others acted in it. The film has been made with public funding under the banner of the producer’s own company ‘Rasayan’.
