Highest runs and wickets at one venue: Shakib’s record of highest runs in one venue in international cricket. Shakib has scored 4 thousand 677 runs in 141 matches in three editions at Mirpur Sher-e Bangla Cricket Stadium. Shakib’s feat of taking the highest wicket at one venue is also the same as the highest run. The all-rounder took 245 wickets in 141 matches in Mirpur.

Longest played in T20 International: Shakib is the longest serving cricketer in T20 International. The left-handed spinning all-rounder of Bangladesh played international T20 for 16 years and 106 days from November 28, 2006 to March 14, 2023.

Youngest Test Captain: Shakib is the youngest Bangladeshi cricketer to lead the Test. Shakib made his Test debut at the age of 22 years and 115 days on 17 July 2009 at St George’s Ground in Grenada. On the way to this record, Shakib broke Mohammad Ashraful’s record. On June 25, 2007, Ashraful became the Test captain against Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo at the age of 22 years and 353 days.
