This movie was banned in the state by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Although the face of the state government was burnt in the Supreme Court.
But when the controversy about The Kerala Story started to grow, it was heard that there would be a film about Bengal too. The trailer of that film has been released on YouTube. After the film was released on YouTube, many controversies started. The movie made about West Bengal is called ‘The Diary Of West Bengal’. This Hindi movie is directed by Sanoj Mishra.
However, the West Bengal Police was shaken as soon as the trailer of this film went viral on the net. A legal notice has been sent to the director. It is alleged that West Bengal has been dishonored through this movie. In view of all this, the director of the movie Sanoj Mishra has been called to the Amherst Street police station on May 30 for questioning.
A complaint has been filed by the police against the director of the movie Sanoj Mishra under sections 120B, 153A, 501, 504, 505, 295A of the Indian Penal Code. Due to the fact that the director of the movie is a Mumbai resident, the legal notice was sent by the police of Osiwada police station in Mumbai. A quick response has been sought from the West Bengal Police.

Trinamool Spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said that it cannot be a movie. It’s all an incitement, sectarianism, poison plot. He even feels that the director of that movie should be arrested immediately in protest. On the other hand, in an interview given to ANI, Sanoj Mishra said, “Reality has been presented in the movie. No one’s honor was killed. This film has been made after thorough research.”
