Dhaka: Film actor Shakib Khan went to Gulshan police station to file a defamation case against the producer of the movie ‘Operation Agneepath’ Rahmat Ullah. However, the police did not take the case. Shakib Khan has been advised to go to court.
On Saturday (March 18) around 11:30 PM, Shakib Khan along with his lawyer went to Gulshan police station. He stayed there for an hour.
Earlier, Rehmat Ullah filed a written complaint against Shakib Khan in three film associations including the Film Artists Association. Where a total of five complaints including rape were made against him. In this context, Shakib Khan went to Gulshan police station to file a case against Rehmat Ullah.
In this regard, Shakib Khan told reporters, ‘I wanted to file a defamation case regarding the false allegations made by Rahmat Ullah. But the police advised to take this case to court. We will file a case against him tomorrow.’
Gulshan Police Station OC (Operation) Aminul Islam said that they did not take the case as the application form was defective. He said, ‘Shakib Khan came to the police station at night to file a case in the name of a producer. But as his application was flawed, it was suggested to amend it. So the case has not been taken for now.’
A case was filed against Shakib for allegedly raping the co-producer of the movie ‘Operation Agneepath’ in Australia and he was also arrested in that case, said Rehmat Ullah in the complaint filed in Shilpi Samity. Shakib replied, ‘If there is a case there, how did I come to the country? I did not run away.’
But Khairul, the lawyer who was present with Shakib, said, ‘The case that is being talked about in Australia has been investigated by the police there. But they called Shakib innocent and said, Mr. Khan it’s a honey trap. Be aware of yourselves from them.’
Khairul said, “We will file a case against Rahmat Ullah tomorrow (Sunday) or in two-three days under Section 385 of the Penal Code.”
Shakib said, ‘He (Rahmat Ullah) is not the producer of this movie. How does he complain as a producer—how dare he? Jane Alam of Vertex Media is the producer of this movie. They (Rehmat Ullah and others) are mainly the shooting coordinators of the Australia segment. You will know who is the main producer of this movie only if you look into the producer association.’
Shakib also claimed to have spoken to Jane Alam about this. He said, ‘When I spoke with the producer, he said, “Who is he?” He has no right to claim as a producer and demand money from you with a gun on the shoulder of my film.’
