own representative: India always wants to maintain friendly relations with neighboring country Pakistan. India’s Deputy High Commissioner in Pakistan, Suresh Kumar, said this during a speech at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Friday.
Speaking at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday, Suresh Kumar said India has never cut off trade ties with Pakistan and wants to move towards normalization of trade ties. He said today’s diplomacy emphasizes tourism, trade and technology because ‘money speaks its own language’. India’s Deputy High Commissioner said, ‘India always wants good relations with Pakistan because we cannot change our geography.’
The Indian diplomat also said, ‘We want to move towards normal relations with Pakistan. We also did not cut off trade with Pakistan, because Pakistan did it.’ He further added, ‘It will be better to see how we can change our problems and circumstances.’ During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Indian Embassy in Pakistan reduced the issuance of visas to people from that country. However, now more visas are being given to Pakistanis. Now 30 thousand visas are issued every year. Suresh Kumar said that this is a huge number.
