All-rounder Mehdi Hassan Miraz, who was in great form in the series against England, could not play in the first ODI from the Ireland series team. Fans are a bit surprised not to see Mirage in the XI. Miraj got an eye injury during practice. So the first ODI was not played.

BCB doctor Debashish Chowdhury said in an interview given to a private media on Saturday (March 18) regarding Miraj’s injury, ‘Miraj’s eyes are still bleeding. Improved though, but not in playable condition. We are keeping him under observation for at least one more day. Will check again on Sunday.’

Last Friday (March 17) at the beginning of the summer football match, Hasan Mahmud’s shot hit Miraj in the face. He fell on the field immediately. After giving first aid, he was taken to the hospital for a CT scan. There the exam results are good. However, an eye injury became an obstacle. Blood clotted in his eyes.

Although he was waited until the first ODI, the team management did not keep him in the playing XI as he was not fully recovered. Tomorrow, Monday (March 20), hosts Bangladesh will take the field in the second ODI. The right-handed all-rounder can be seen in the XI in the second ODI.

Confident of the record-setting victory in the first match, Bangladesh aims to win the series in the second ODI of the series as well.
