Ireland will host Bangladesh in England

The ODI series between Bangladesh and Ireland starts on Saturday (March 18). And before that, Bangladesh’s visit to Ireland was confirmed. However, the Irish will host Bangladesh in Chelmsford, England, instead of hosting the series at their own ground.

The tour was supposed to take place in 2020, but was postponed due to the coronavirus. Finally, the cricket board of the country announced the schedule of Ireland series. Bangladesh will fly to play the away series of ODI Super League against Ireland in May this year.

The two teams will play three ODIs of the ICC ODI Super League. The series is hosted by Essex. The game will be played at Cloudy County Ground.

The three-match ODI series will begin on May 9. After that, the remaining two matches of the series will be on the 12th and 14th. This series is very important for Ireland. Because if Bangladesh can be whitewashed, the Irish will get a direct World Cup ticket with 30 points in the One Day Super League. And if they fail to win 3-0, they will face Zimbabwe in the qualifiers in June.
