Ireland sent Bangladesh to bat after winning the toss

The first of the three-match ODI series against Ireland takes place on Saturday (March 18). Irish captain Andrew Balberney won the toss and decided to bat first in the first match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

All-rounder Mehdi Hasan Miraj has been dropped from the Bangladesh XI due to injury. Yasir Ali Chowdhury Rabbi got a chance in his place.

Before coming to Ireland, Bangladesh played ODI and T20I series against England. Despite losing the ODI series by 2-1, the Bangladesh team is in a happy mood after winning the T20 series by 3-0.
