Sports Desk: IIUC Futsal Cup-2023 organized by International Islamic University Chittagong Football Club (IIUC FC) for the second time was held on March 16 and 17 at KB Turf adjacent to KB Convention in the port city of Chittagong.
The tournament was inaugurated on the morning of March 16. A total of 32 teams participated in it. Team United FC and IIUC Bank Colony team made it to the finals. IIUC Bank Colony team won the final match by 1-0.
Abdullah Al Arman, Mohammad Imran and Imran Munna received the awards as the best player of the tournament, best goalkeeper and highest goal scorer respectively.
Md Khorshed Ali, Assistant Proctor and Assistant Professor of International Islamic University, Chittagong, was the chief guest of the program. Md. Ekramul Hossain, founder of ES Marketing X and manager Amio Rahman Munna were present as special guests.
The main objective of organizing this futsal tournament was to create a meeting of former and current students of different departments of their university through football, which will strengthen the bond with each other and contribute to improving the physical and mental health of the youth by keeping them away from drug consumption, online addiction.
The organizing committee of this tournament consisted of International Islamic University Chittagong Football Club (IIUC FC) members Rubayet Hasan, Nazmul Hasan, Fahim Faisal, Asif Rashid, Itu and Akif. ES Marketing X played a key role as a platinum sponsor in organizing the tournament.
