The UEFA Champions League quarter-final draw took place on Friday (March 17) in Nyon, Switzerland. Where the two finalists will meet before the final. Current champions Real Madrid will play against Chelsea. And Bayern Munich’s opponent is Manchester City.
The quarter-final draw of the 2021/22 season was repeated for Real Madrid. The All Whites faced Chelsea in the quarter-finals last season. Even in the 2022/23 season, Real got that Chelsea. Real Madrid beat last season’s runner-up Liverpool by a margin of 6-2 goals in two legs to book the quarter ticket. In the first leg, Chelsea lost 1-0 in the field of Borussia Dortmund but won the second leg with a margin of 2-0.
On the other hand, the biggest match of this year’s quarter-finals is going to be between the English champion Manchester City and the German champion Bayern Munich. Six-time European champion Bayern Munich defeated PSG, one of Europe’s best teams, by 3-0 over two legs in the quarters. And Manchester City beat RB Leipzig 8-1 to reach the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, three Italian clubs have appeared in the quarter-finals for 17 years. AC Milan and Napoli will face each other in the quarter finals. And Inter Milan’s opponent is Benfica.
Four matches of the first leg of the quarter finals will be held on April 11 and 12 at 1 pm Bangladesh time. And the second leg will be on April 18 and 19.
With the draw of the quarter-final, the draw of the semi-final has also been confirmed. In the first semi-final, the winner of the match between Real Madrid and Chelsea will face the winner of the match between Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
And in the second semi-final, the winning team between AC Milan and Napoli will meet against the winning team between Inter Milan and Benfica.
