Jumbangla Desk: Actress Mahia Mahi arrested in Digital Security Act case is being taken to Gazipur. The Gazipur Metropolitan Police has left for Gazipur with him from Dhaka on Saturday. This was confirmed by GMP’s DC Media Ibrahim Khan. He said that Mahi, arrested in the Digital Security Act case, is being brought from Dhaka to Gazipur.
Earlier, GMP police arrested Mahi from Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 12:15 PM.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Molla Nazrul Islam confirmed the arrest. He said that actress Mahi has been arrested in the Digital Security Act case.
Apart from this, GMP North ADC Rezwan Ahmed also informed about the arrest. He said Mahi was arrested from the airport.
Mahi, who had gone to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, came on Facebook Live and alleged that Rakib’s car showroom was vandalized and assaulted. She claimed that her husband has a car showroom named ‘Soniraj Car Palace’ on the east side of Alam Government College in Bhawal Badr. Miscreants attacked that showroom. The attackers broke the gate of his showroom and entered. They vandalized various furniture, glass doors and windows, tables and chairs in the showroom. The signboard of the showroom has also been removed. Miscreants ransacked his office and looted money.
Mahi alleged that the attack was carried out under the leadership of Ismail Hossain alias Laden and Mamun Sarkar.
Mahi accused Gazipur Metropolitan Police of taking ‘bribe’ on Facebook. The police filed a case under the Digital Security Act against Mahia Mahi and her husband Rakib Sarkar for allegedly maligning the image of the police.

Mahi came live again before leaving Makkah for Bangladesh late at night. He said that he will reach the country on Saturday morning and he fears that he may be arrested in the context of this incident. He was arrested at Shahjalal International Airport after coming to the country.
